WHO IS DANIELLE?
I learned to crochet when I was around 10 years old. My mother sat me down and showed me how to do basic stitches like single crochet and double crochet. At the time, I didn't understand the importance of the skill my mom was sharing with me. It wasn't until I was discharged from the military, almost 18 years later, that I picked up a skein of yarn and a crochet hook.
Crochet has become a form of therapy for me. I live with a neurological disorder that causes chronic facial pain, called Trigeminal Neuralgia. I am also coping with PTSD. Crocheting has become a way that I can turn my pain and stress into something productive and positive.
My mom gave me a gift that I am able to use to make gifts for you.
A portion of the proceeds made through Hooked by Danielle will be donated to Riding With Heart. A program that provides therapeutic riding lessons to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. They also work with Veterans and First Responders. This is a program that I volunteer for and absolutely adore.
Thank you for your support.
